There is No Middle Ground with God
If God exists, then indifference is illogical.
One thing we can deduce is there is no gray area in between. This is known as the law of excluded middle.
What is Truth?
Take for example the statement, “The sky is blue during the day.”
This statement is either true, or it is false. There is no in between.
Some deniers of the law of excluded middle will say, “The sky is not exactly blue, but an off-blue or blueish color. Nothing is exactly blue.”
Apologists would say, “The sky may vary in shade, but it is never green. Minor variation does not eliminate objective categories.”
Objective Versus Relative Truth
It is important to understand the difference between relative truth and objective truth.
Relative truth is defined by circumstances.
Objective truth is true 100% of the time, regardless of circumstance.
Both relative and objective truths exist. However, a truth cannot be objective and relative, it is either one or the other. If a perspective can change the facts of truth, then it’s a relative truth. If it’s true despite any and all perspectives, then it is an objective truth.
How is God’s Existence Objectively True or False?
What would a middle ground look like? Maybe that God is true for you but not for me? Essentially, God exists for you, but He doesn’t exist for me?
What does that mean?
Pokemon either exist in reality, or they are imaginary constructs designed to entertain. There is no middle ground.
If they exist in reality, then we can interact with them as we do with dogs and cats.
If they don’t exist in reality, but rather are imaginary constructs, then we can conclude they don’t exist outside of the human mind. Therefore, their existence is objectively false.
The same applies to God. Either He exists in reality, outside of the human mind, or He only exists inside the human mind.
Conclusion
The only way to be assured of God’s objectivity is to weigh the evidence, which I will not be doing in a blogpost. There is simply too much ground to cover, even for encyclopedias.
If God exists, then indifference is not harmless. Rather, it can be eternally costly.
If God does not exist, then everyone who has seen a miracle, felt His presence, or drastically changed their behavior because of Him is living in a delusion.
We all know that Pokemon aren’t real, as in they cannot exist outside of the human mind.
However, God exists whether there is a human mind present or not.
This is the crux of our argument as apologists. Without God, there wouldn’t even be an existence to argue. Without humans, there could easily be an existence.
If human minds depend on existence, yet existence does not depend on human minds, then there is truth regardless of the presence of human minds.
Therefore, objective truth must exist.
No Middle Ground with God
Relative truth exists when a human mind is present. Humans create relative truth (Pokemon).
Objective truth exists regardless of the presence of a human mind. Humans discover objective truth (2+2=4).
The existence of God is an objective question, which means He’s independent of a human mind. Therefore, there is no middle ground on whether God exists or not.
If the question is objective, then you have an obligation to examine the evidence.
Historical miracles, like the resurrection, the internal coherence and prophetic fulfillment in Scripture, and shifts from hostile skeptics to devoted followers are all evidence of His existence.

Refusing to examine the evidence does not make the question disappear.
